CHAPTER 263.

AN ACT Entitled, "An Act to amend the Act of.
eighteen hundred and sixty, Chapter three hun-
dred and three, entitled, ' An Act to carry into
effect the eighth section of the Act entitled, An
Act for the promotion of Internal Improve-
ments,' "passed at the December session,
eighteen hundred and thirty-five, Chapter three
hundred and ninety-five, by applying the unap-
propriated part of the appropriation made by
said Act for the purpose of internal improve-
ments in Worcester county, to the construction
of the Worcester Railroad. and the Wicomico
and Pocomoke Railroad.

WHEREAS, by the Act of eighteen hundred and
sixty, Chapter three hundred and three, the sum
of ninety-nine thousand one hundred and one
dollars was appropriated to Worcester county for
the purpose of works of internal improvement in
said county, and by the Act of eighteen hundred
and sixty-six, Chapter one hundred and forty-five,
the sum of sixty thousand dollars was applied to
the construction of the Wicomico and Pocomoke
Railroad; and whereas, there still remains of said
appropropriation the sum of thirty-nine thousand
one hundred and one dollars; and whereas, the
completion of the Worcester Railroad and the
Wicomico and Pocomoke Railroad would greatly
add to the prosperity of the said county, and very
materially benefit the interest of the State by
developing the resources of the county; therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-

Act of eighteen hundred and sixty, Chapter three
hundred and three, have been complied with by
the Worcester Railroad Company and the Wico-
mico and Pocomoke Railroad Company respect-
ively, the Treasurer of the State, upon the war-
rant of the Comptroller, is hereby authorized and
