In force.

Sec. 6. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of the adoption of the new
charter it embraces by the said corporation, and
that the General Assembly of Maryland reserves
the right to alter, amend or repeal this charter at
pleasure.

AN ACT to allow mileage to the Trustees of the
"Alms House in Saint Mary's County.

Mileage.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General assem-
bly of Maryland, That each Trustee of the Alms
House in Saint Mary's County, shall be entitled
to mileage, at the rate of five cents a mile on all
distances not exceeding twenty miles from his re-
sidence to the Almshouse computed by the shortest
public road for every day, he shall necessarily at-
tend to the duties of his office.

Levy.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the County
Commissioners of said County, and hereby author-
ized and required to levy a sum of money on the
taxable property of said County sufficient to pay
the same.

In force.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from and after the day of its pass-
age.
