to the purpose for which it was appropriated, the
construction of works of internal improvement in
the county to which it was applied; therefore, |

Appropria-
tion divided. |
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the sum of thirteen thousand
dollars applied to the Choptank and Mispillion
Railroad by the Act of eighteen hundred and sixty,
chapter three hundred and three, section one, be,
and the same is hereby equally divided and ap-
plied to the Maryland and Delaware Railroad
Company, and the Dorchester and Delaware Rail-
road Company, upon the conditions named in the
said Act, and upon the further condition that each
of the said companies shall execute a bond to the
Treasurer of this State, conditioned to pay to the
said Choptank and Mispillion Railroad Company
the sum of six thousand, five hundred dollars each,
without interest, if the same shall be demanded
within three years, according to the provisions of
the Act of eighteen hundred and sixty, chapter
three hundred and three, and on payment by the
said companies respectively, of the said sums of
six thousand, five hundred dollars to the Choptank
and Mispillion Company as aforesaid, or in case
the said company shall not be entitled to receive
the same within three years as aforesaid, then the |

said bonds shall be void; and provided also, that
the said sums of money shall be applied by the
said Maryland and Delaware Railroad Company,
and the Dorchester and Delaware Railroad Com-
pany respectively, to the construction of that part
of their road within the County of Caroline, and
that the Dorchester and Delaware Railroad Com-
pany shall run from its terminus in the State of
Delaware, through Caroline County, unless the
Dorchester and Delaware Railroad runs as now
laid down or in the vicinity thereof, that is to say,
from Federalsburg, Maryland, to or near Bridge-
ville, Delaware, then, and in that case, the six
thousand, five hundred dollars hereinbefore ap-
plied to the Dorchester and Delaware Railroad
shall be and the same is hereby applied to the Ma-
ryland and Delaware Railroad in acccordance with
the provision of this Act. |

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage. |
