payment as may be equal to the stock subscribed
for previously, or certificates to bear interest at six
per cent. per annum, to be paid in cash by the
said corporation; when said guarantee capital
shall have increased to the amount fixed by said
corporation, all the certificates of the first year to
be paid first, and those of the second year next,
and so on according to the year of their issue, the
oldest issue being first paid. |

Sec. 8. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage, and that
nothing herein shall authorize said corporation to
issue any note, token or device, to be used as cur- |

rency, and that the General Assembly reserves the
right to alter or amend this Act or pleasure. |

AN ACT to authorize and require the County
Commissioners of Baltimore County to levy an
additional school tax, as provided for in section
five, of the eighth Article of the Constitution of
this State. |

WHEREAS, at an election held on the sixth day
of November, in the year eighteen hundred and
sixty-six, the people of Baltimore County did, by
a popular vote of three thousand, two hundred and
eighty-four majority, express the desire of said
county for an additional school tax, as provided
for in section five of the eighth Article of the Con-
stitution of this State; therefore |
Preamble. |
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the County Commissioners of
Baltimore County be, and they are hereby author-
ized and required to levy annually, at the time of
making the county levy, an additional school tax
of twelve cents on each hundred dollars of asses-
sable property in said county, to be collected as |
