Sec. 20. And be it enacted. That this Act shall
take effect from and after the day of its passage,
and that all Acts or parts of Acts inconsistent with
the provisions of this Act, be and the same are
hereby repealed. |

AN ACT entitled an Act to repeal section thirty-
nine, of Article nineteen of the Code of Public
Local Laws, relating to the County Commission-
ers for Somerset County, and to amend and re-
enact the said section. |
Section re-
pealed. |
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That section thirty-nine of Ar-
ticle nineteen of the Code of Public Local Laws
relating to the number of County Commissioners
for Somerset County, be and the same is hereby
repealed, amended and re-enacted, so as to read as
follows: |

Sec. 39. There shall be five County Commis-
sioners for Somerset County, and at the general
election tor county officers to be held in the year
eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, in Somerset
County, in addition to the County Commissioners
to be elected at that election, under the existing
law, two County Commissioners, herein provided
for, shall be elected, and the three County Com-
missioners to be elected as aforesaid, at .the said
election; shall hold their offices for four years, and
until their successors shall be elected and quali-
fied. |

take effect from the date of its passage. |
