CHAPTER 236.

AN ACT to pay A. Lingan Jarrett, the balance of
his salary as Comptroller of the Treasury.

15,1867.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Comptroller of the
Treasury be, and he is hereby directed to issue his
warrant upon the Treasurer to pay A. Lingan
Jarrett, four thousand, nine hundred and three
dollars and sixty cents, being the balance of his
salary as late Comptroller of the Treasury.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, This Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT entitled, an Act to incorporate the Bene-
ficial Savings Fund Society of Baltimore.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That Frances Neale, George W.
Webb, Charles K. Dougherty, C. Oliver O'Don-
nell, Alfred Jenkins, Leonard J. Tormey, John
Murphy, Luke Gassiday, Daniel Donnelly, George
V. Hull, John Malloy, William F. Damman,
Joseph Judick, John W. Jenkins, Daniel J. Fo-
ley, William H. V. Smith, Thomas J. Myer, Hen-
ry Bogue, Joseph Fink, St. John Carroll, Henry
McCaffery, Isaac Hartman, Thomas C. Yearly,
Mathias Benzinger, John Piquett, Patric J. Cos-
tolay and their successors, forever be and they are
hereby made a body politic and corporate in law,
under the name, style and title of the Beneficial
Savings Fund Society of Baltimore, and by that
name shall have perpetual succession, and shall be
able and capable in law to have and use a common
seal, to sue and be sued, to plead and be implead-
