same when authorized so to do by any Quarterly
Conference of Emmitsburg Circuit.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted. That whenever any
vacancy shall occur in consequence of the death,
removal or resignation of any of the said Trus-
tees, or in case any of them shall cease to hold
membership in said church, the vacancy shall be
filled by any Quarterly Conference on Emmitts-

shall be elected Trustee unless he shall have been
at the time of his election a member of the said
church,, and over twenty-one years of age.

Proviso.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That the said Trus-
tees or their successors shall have power to sue and

CHAPTER 229.

AN ACT for the relief of Therese Caroline Meister.

Passed Mar.
7,1867.

WHEREAS, by deed made and dated the twenty-
first day of January, in the year eighteen hundred
and sixty-five, from Adolphus F. Haynel, of the
city of Baltimore) to Thereae Caroline Meister, re-
corded in Liber A. M., No. two hundred and sixty-
seven, folio, two hundred and forty-five, &e., one
of the Land Records of Baltimore city, the said
Adolphus F. Haynel, did convey unto the said
Therese Caroline Meister, in fee simple, a certain
parcel of ground lying in the said city, binding on
the West side of Eutaw street, and in said deed
particularly described; and whereas, the said The-
rese Caroline Meister was born without the limits
and jurisdiction of the United States.

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the said Therese Caroline
Meister) be and she is hereby enabled and declared
