AN ACT appropriating a sum of money to pay
the claims of James L. Martin, Thomas Don-
aldson, Thomas S. Alexander, John A. Lynch,
John Ritchie, and the administrators of the
estate of the late Ezekiel F. Chambers, Samuel
T. Hopkins, Lloyd Tilghman and Michael Zim-
merman, for services rendered the State by offi-
cial appointment. |

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General assem-
bly of Maryland, That the Comptroller be and
he is hereby directed to issue his warrant upon the
Treasurer to pay James L. Martin, Thomas Don-
aldson, Thomas S. Alexander, John A. Lynch,
John Ritchie, and the administrators of the estate
of the late Ezekiel F. Chambers, one hundred
dollars each for legal services rendered the State
by official appointment; to Samuel T. Hopkins,
Clerk of the Circuit Court of Talbot county, the
sum of nineteen dollars and twenty cents for cler-
ical services rendered the State by official direc-
tion; to Lloyd Tilghman the sum of two hundred
dollars for legal services rendered the State in two
cases by official appointment; to Michael Zimmer-
man, Sheriff of Frederick county, sixty-six dol-
lars and fifty-six cents for the payment of claims
for services rendered the State for the years eight-
een hundred and sixty-two and eighteen hundred
and sixty-three, in the rendition of fugitives from
justice by direction of the Governor. |

Sec. 2. And be it enacted. That this 'Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage. |
