allow, to erect a commodious school house, in
which they design giving instruction to male
children, and of extending to other parts of this
State gratuitous education so far as they may be
able to do so, therefore,

Incorpora-
tion.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Joseph Guistiniani, Francis
Burlando, Hypolito Gandolfo, and others who may
become associated with them, are hereby created
and made a body corporate by the name and style
of " The Congregation of the Mission of St. Vin-
cent de Paul, of the city of Baltimore," and by
that name shall have succession, with full power
and authority to admit or reject persons who may
apply for admission as members of said associa-
tion, and to make all by-laws necessary for the
government of said association, to have and to use
a common seal, to purchase or to take by deed, or
otherwise, any real or chattel estate, for the uses
and purposes hereinbefore stated, and said real or
chattel estate, or any part thereof, to sell and dis-
pose of at pleasure, and by said name to sue and
be sued, plead or be impleaded.

May hold real
estate.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted. That said corporation
shall not be authorized to hold estate or property
in said city or elsewhere) the annual income of
which shall exceed ten thousand dollars.

In force.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.

Reservation.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That the General
Assembly of Maryland reserves to itself the right
to alter, amend or repeal this charter at pleasure.
