AN ACT to authorize the Register of Wills for
Dorchester county to record the Will of the late
Dr. Joseph Nicols, of said county. |

WHEREAS, It is represented to this General
Assembly that the will of Dr. Joseph Nicols, late
of Dorchester county, deceased, and the record
thereof was destroyed by fire by the burning of
the court house in said county; and whereas, the
parties interested therein have neglected to have
the record of said will supplied within the time
limited by the Act of Assembly, passed for the
restoration of the burnt records in that county,
therefore, |
Preamble. |
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That upon presentation of an authen-
ticated copy of the will of the said Doctor Joseph
Nicols to the Register of Wills for Dorchester
county, the said Register of Wills be and he is
hereby authorized and required to record the same
at the expense of the person so presenting, in the
same manner as if the said copy had been furn-
ished for record within the time limited by the
Act passed at January session, eighteen hundred
and fifty-two, Chapter 316. |

Sec. 2. And be it enacted. That the said will,
when so recorded, and the record thereof, shall
have the same effect and operation in law to all
intents and purposes as if the record of said will
and the said original will had never been
destroyed. |

take effect from the date of its passage. |
