Authority to
make lateral
roads. |
Sec. 4. And be it enacted. That it shall and
may be lawful for said company to make and con-
struct lateral railways or roads through the pro-
perty of such persons or parties as may consent
and agree to such occupation of their land, and to
connect the same with the main branch of the
road of said company. |
To suffer no
disadvantage. |
' Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That said Hillen Road
Company of Baltimore county shall suffer no dis-
advantage or diminution of the rights, powers
and privileges granted to it as a corporation by
the Act of one thousand eight hundred and fifty-
four, Chapter ninety-nine, and the supplemental
Act, passed at January session, one thousand
eight hundred and sixty, Chapter fifty-one, by
reason of lapse of time, inability to progress with
said road as rapidly as contemplated by said ori-
ginal Act, irregularity in holding elections for
officers, or other causes; but the rights, powers,
privileges and franchise granted and created by
said original Act, and said supplement thereto, |

are hereby affirmed and confirmed; provided, the
said company shall make and construct the road
or roads authorized to be constructed by said ori-
ginal Act, said enumerated supplement, and this
supplement, within the period of twenty years
from the passage hereof. |
In force am
reservation. |
Sec. 6. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage, and the
General Assembly reserves the right to modify,
amend or repeal this Act, at pleasure. |
