8th. Amend by striking out section 11.

9th. Amend section 12 by striking out in third line all af-
ter the words" and the" to the word "Bailiff," in 4th line ;
also strike out fifth line and insert in lieu thereof the words
"constables now receive."

10th. Amend section 13, 7th line, by inserting after the
word "fine," the words "of not less than two nor more than
ten dollars ;" also after ths word "imprisonment" the words
"for not less than ten nor more than twenty days in the
county jail."

Mr. Vickers, from the majority of the Committee on Ju-
dicial Proceedings, to which was referred the bill entitled, an
Act to provide for the running of the Baltimore City Passen-
ger Railway Cars on Sunday, supplementary to an Act to in-
corporate the Baltimore City Passenger Railway Company,
passed February 13th, 1862, chapter 71;

Reported unfavorably thereon.

Mr. Henkle, from the Committee on Internal Improvements,
to which was referred the bill entitled, an Act to lay off and
locate a public road in Frederick and Carroll counties;

Reported unfavorably thereon.

The bill was then rejected and returned to the House of
Delegates.

Mr. Maddoz, from the committee appointed to visit the
Benevolent and Reformatory Institutions of the State, sub-
mitted the following report:

Mr. Henkle submitted the following:

Ordered, "that 200 copies of the report.of the committee to
visit; the benevolent and reformatory institutions, which are
beneficiaries of the State, be printed for the use of the
Senate;"

Which was read and adopted.

Mr. Stirling, from the minority of the Committee on Ju-
dicial Proceedings, to which was referred the bill in relation
to the running of the Baltimore City Passenger Cars on Sun-
day, submitted the following report:

To the Honorable,

The Senate of Maryland:

The undersigned, a minority of your Committee on Ju-
dicial Proceedings, respectfully recommend to your favorable
consideration, the bill entitled, an Act to provide for the run-
ning of the Baltimore City Passenger cars on Sunday, sup-
plementary to an Act to incorporate the Baltimore City Pas-
senger Railway Company, passed February 13,1862, ch. 71,
