owner of said lot or his legal representatives, and
in case such owner or his legal representatives shall
not demand the same within two years after such
sale, the said Commissioners are hereby authorized
to expend the same for the interest, benefit and
improvement of said town, according to their dis-
cretion. |

take effect from the date of its passage. |

Entitled, AN ACT to repeal the fourth, seventh,
fifteenth, sixteenth and twentieth Sections of
Article fourth of the Public Local Laws of the
city of Baltimore relating to the qualification of
electors in said city and regulating the time for
holding elections for Mayor and Members of the
City Council and the terms of and the time for
entering upon the duties of said offices and to
re-enact the same with amendments : |

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the fourth, seventh, fifteenth,
sixteenth and twentieth Sections of Article fourth
of the Public Local Laws relating to the city of
Baltimore be and the same are hereby repealed,
and the following Sections substituted in lieu
thereof. |

Sec. 4. The inhabitants of the city of Baltimore
who possess the qualifications for electors of the
House of Delegates shall on the first Wednesday
of February, one thousand eight hundred and six-
ty-seven, and on the same day in every second
year thereafter elect by ballot a person of known
integrity, experience and sound judgment, twenty-
five years of age or upwards, ten years a citizen of
the United States and five years a resident of said |
