Entitled, AN ACT supplementary to the Act of
eighteen hundred and sixty-six, Chapter twenty-
four, entitled, an Act to authorize the Commis-
sioners of the town of Havre-de-Grace to sell
certain lots in said town. |

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the power conferred on the
Commissioners of the town of Havre-de-Grace by
the original Act, to which this i« a supplement, be
and the same are hereby continued, and in case
any of the lots of ground mentioned in said Act
and thereby authorized to be sold, have not been
heretofore sold by the Bailiff, under the direction
of the said Commissioners, it shall be lawful for
the said Commissioners, and they are hereby au-
thorized to direct the sale thereof in the manner
prescribed by the said original Act. |

Sec. 2, And be it enacted, That the legal owner
of any lot which has been or may hereafter be sold
under the provisions of said original Act, or of this
supplement, or his legal representatives or assigns
shall have the right, within two years after such
sale, to redeem any lot so sold, by paying to the
purchaser thereof, the amount of purchase money
with interest thereon at the rate of six per cent.
per annum and five per cent. commission from the
day of sale. |

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That in case any lot
shall be sold for more than may be sufficient to sat-
isfy the taxes and other legal charges thereon, the
said Commissioners are authorized to invest the
said surplus in the bonds of the United States or
of the State of Maryland for the benefit of the legal |
