missioners re-
quired to in-
vestigate.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That the School Commissioners
of Frederick county are hereby authorized, em-
powered and directed to investigate the claim of
the said Jonas Urner and Nicholas Norris for
reimbursement as aforesaid, and if the said Com-
missioners shall be convinced that the said amount
of seventy dollars and fifteen cents was judi-
ciously advanced and properly expended by the
said Jonas Urner and Nicholas Norris, then the
said Board of School Commissioners for Frederick
county shall order and direct the Treasurer of said
Board to pay to the said Jonas Urner and Mary
Ann and Amos H. Norris, Executors of Nicholas
Norris, said amount or so much thereof as they
shall show by receipts; vouchers or other proper

evidence to have so advanced or expended; pro-
vided, a sufficient amount shall be in the hands of
the said Treasurer of the mosey apportioned as
the school funds of said county.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

Supplement to AN ACT entitled, an Act to incor-
porate the Spruce Hill Coal Company passed
January Session, eighteen hundred and sixty-
five, Chapter seventy-seven.

crease capital
stock.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That it shall be lawful for the Pre-
sident and Directors of the Spruce Hill Coal Com-
pany to change the par value of the shares from
ten dollars to one hundred dollars each, and to in-
crease the capital stock for the purpose of addition-
al lands in Allegany county not to exceed twenty
thousand acres, and for the development and im-
