Sec. 8. And be it enacted. That in case one of
any of the above mentioned Commissioners shall
resign or decline to serve the remaining members
are authorized to fill the vacancy.

Sec. 9. And be it enacted. That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage, and that
the General Assembly reserves to itself the right
to alter, amend or annul this Act at pleasure.

CHAPTER 35.

Entitled, AN ACT to authorize the School Com-
missioners of Frederick county to pay to Jonas
Urner and Mary Ann and Amos H. Norris,
Executor of Nicholas Norris, two of the trus-
tees of the Primary School District number fifty-
three, in said county, a sum of money advanced
by them for the support of the school in said dis-
trict in the years eighteen hundred and sixty-
three and eighteen hundred and sixty-four dur-
ing the term of their trusteeship.

Passed Feb.
11, 1867.

WHEREAS, It has been stated to this General
Assembly that Jonas Urner and Nicholas Norris,
two of the trustees of Primary School District num-
ber fifty-three, in Frederick county, duly elected by
the voters of said district on the second day of Au-
gust, eighteen hundred and sixty two, to serve for
one year, did in the discharge of their trust em-
ploy ateacher for the school of said district;
and whereas, it is also stated that said trustees
in order to continue said school during the win-
ter months, were obliged to pay a considerable
sum of money over and above what they re-
ceived from the county, and the patrons of said
school to wit: about seventy dollars and fifteen
cents, for which they have never been reimbursed:
therefore,
