CHAPTER 18.

Entitled, AN ACT to amend An Act, to add ad-
ditional Sections to Article first of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Allegany county, relating
to the business of the Circuit Court and the
summoning of persons in said county, passed at
the January Session, eighteen hundred and six-
ty-six, of the General Assembly of Maryland,
Chapter one hundred and thirty-eight, and re-
enact the game as amended.

24, 1867.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, That an Act to add additional
Sections to Article first of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Allegany county, relating to the business
of the Circuit Court and the Summoning of Jurors
in said county, passed at the January Session.
eighteen hundred and sixty-six, of the General
Assembly of Maryland, Chapter one hundred and
thirty-eight, be and the same is hereby amended
and re-enacted so as to read as follows: That the
three regular common law terms of the Circuit
Court for Allegany county, shall be terms for the
trial and transaction of all Criminal and Civil busi-
ness, and the Sheriff of said county, and the clerk
of said court shall for each term, select from the
inhabitants of said county, forty-eight persons
qualified as Jurors under the General Laws of the
State, to be summoned by the Sheriff to serve as
Grand and Petit Jurors, the Grand Jurors to be
drawn from said panel of forty-eight persons in the
manner prescribed by the General Laws of the
State.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the Jurors for
the present January Term of said Court, shall be
selected and summoned immediately after the pass-
age of this Act, and for each succeeding term of
said court they shall be selected at least thirty
days and summoned at least ten days prior to such
term.
