Ordered, that the order of business for night sessions shall
be first the disposition of all third reading Senate bills, next
in older Senate bills upon their second reading.

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to refund a sum of money er-
roneously paid into the State Treasury by William D. Bowie,
Jr., in the year 1866, on account of storage of tobacco;

Endorsed "passed by yeas and nays."

And returned the bill entitled, an Act to authorize the
County Commissioners of Kent county, to convey to John
Haddaway and others of said county, a portion of a landing
on Chester River, in Quaker Neck;

Endorsed "passed by yeas and nays."

A bill entitled, an Act to add a section to Article 75, of the
Code of Public General Laws entitled, Pleadings, Practice
and Process, to enable parties to plead over without withdraw-
ing their demurrers;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled, an Act to make valid the official acts of Jus-
tices of the Peace, appointed by Governor Bradford, during
the months of December, 1865, and January 1866;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 20 of Article 96 of
the Code of Public General Laws, entitled, Weights and
Measures, and to re-enact the same with amendments;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled, an Act to allow mileage to the Trustees of
the Alms House, in St. Mary's county;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.

A bill entitled, an Act to appropriate a sum of money for
the purpose of paying the claim of Thomas E. Dell;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

A bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 43, of the Code of
Public General Laws, entitled, Mechanics' Lien, and to re-
enact the same with amendments;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.

A bill entitled, an Act to pay A. Lingan Jarret, the balance
of his salary as late Comptroller of the Treasury;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Finance.
