to report a bill, to provide for the marking of Cattle passing
through Kent county, in the possession of drovers, and to pro-
tect the owners of cattle from loss.

Mr. Henkle moved a call of the Senate.

The Sergeant-at-Arms was seat to inform the absent Sena-
tors that their presence was required in the Senate Chamber.

On motion of Mr. Henkle,
Further proceedings under the call were dispensed with.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported with an amendment a bill entitled, an Act to con-
firm the proceedings of the Commissioners appointed by Wor-
cester County Court to divide the real estate of Wheatley
Dennis, late of Worcester county, deceased ;

Amendment adopted, bill read the second time, and order-
ed to be engrossed for a third reading.

Mr. Stirling moved a call of the Senate.

The Sergeant-at-Arms was sent to inform the absent Sena-
tors that their presence was required in the Senate chamber.

The Sergeant-at-Arms returned and stated that he had no-
tified the absent Senators.

Mr. Stephenson, from the Select Committee, reported a bill
entitled, an Act to protect Fish and Wild Fowl, in the waters
of Romney Creek, in Harford county ;

Which was read the first time.

On motion of Mr. Ohr,

The Senate took a recess for three-quarters of an hour.
At 2 o'clock P. M., the Senate convened.

On motion of Mr. Mules,
The Senate adjourned until Monday at 12 o'clock, M.

MONDAY, January 14, 1867.

The President laid before the Senate the report of the
Board of Police Commissioners of Baltimore city.
