CARROLL COUNTY.

SIR:—Agreeably to an order of your Honorable body?
passed on the 18th day of January, 1867, I have the honor
to report that two law sessions of the Circuit Court for Car-
roll county, were held between the 1st day of January and
31st day of December, 1866, commencing on the second Mon-
day of May and November, respectively.

The May Term continued in session (27) twenty-seven
days, and the November Term (18) eighteen days. In this
connection, permit me to remark, that although we have four
regular Equity Terms, our court adjourns from day to day
(Sundays excepted), for the transaction of Chancery business,
and it would be impossible to give the number of days that
the Judge is engaged in the discharge of this branch of his
duties, though scarce a day passes without the passage of
orders or decrees upon bill and testimony submitted, or argu-
ment heard in Chambers.

Hoping that I have answered the resolution satisfactorily,
