Mr. Vickers submitted the following message:

BT THE SENATE Feb. 28, 1867.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We propose with your concurrence to meet with you in
joint session; a Committee from Baltimore of Ministers and
Laymen, who desire to appear before the General Assembly
to protest against a modification of the existing Sunday Law,
and request that we meet in your House at quarter past one
o'clock, to-day.

By order,

A. GASSAWAY.
Secretary.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates.

Mr. Trail, from the select Committee, reported a bill enti-
tled, an Act for the protection of Fish in the waters of Mo-
nocacy river and its tributaries, and in the waters of Catoctin
creek, in Frederick county;

Which was read the first time.

Mr- Davis, of Washington, from the select Committee, to
which was referred the bill entitled, an Act to protect per-
sons known as Hucksters in Washington and Allegany coun-
ties;

Reported it with the following

AMENDMENTS

In the 6th line strike out the words "of said counties,"
and insert in lieu thereof, "the county of Washington and
Allegany or Harford."

Amend the title by striking out the words "Washington
and Allegany," and inserting the words, "Washingon, Al-
legany and Harford."
