the Register of Wills for Dorchester county, to record the
wills of the late Doctor Joseph Nichols, of said county;

Reported it without amendment,

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was referred the bill entitled, an Act to repeal the
27th, 28th and 29th sections of the 2d article of the Code of
Public Local Laws, and to enact another section in lieu there-
of, relating to the sale of spiritous liquors to the paupors at
the Almshouse, in Anne Arundel county;

Reported it with the following amendments:

Amend title, by inserting in the 3d line, after the word
"Laws," the words, "title Anne Arundel county, sub-title
Almshouse;"

Amend 1st section, by inserting in the 4th line,, after the
word "Laws," by inserting "title Anne Arundel county, sub-
title Almshouse;"

In the 6th line, of the 1st section, after the word "be," add
"re-enacted and."

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported a bill entitled, an Act to make valid and operative
in law a deed from Samuel Coe, to John A. Cox ;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Vickecs, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was referred the bill entitled, an Act to add a new
section to article 38, of the Code of Public General Laws,
and to repeal certain sections of the Code of Public Local
Laws entitled Bailiffs;

Re'ported it without amendment,

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which was referred the House Resolutions, directing the
Attorney General to examine into the affairs of the Balti-
more and Frederick Turnpike Road;

Reported them with the following amendments:

After the words "and whether the said Pratt street road
has been or is now in a condition such as their charter re-
quires," insert "and whether their charter has been infring-
ed in any other respect, due notice of which shall be given
said company with specifications and opportunity to the said
company for defence."

Also, after the words "if he shall be of opinion that the
charter of said company in any or all of these," insert "or in
any other particular."
