334 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 27,

Mr. Stephenson submitted the following amendment:
End of section 6, "provided that such route shall be selected

in conformity with the restrictions hereinbefore in this section

prescribed;"

Which was read and adopted.

Mr. Stephenson submitted the following amendment:

Amend section 8, 12th line, by striking out the word "in-
habitants" and inserting the following in lieu thereof, viz:
"persons qualified to serve as Jurors in the Circuit Court ;"

Which was read and adopted.

Mr. Stirling submitted the following amendment:
Section 8, line 40, strike out "or" and insert "in ;"
Mr. Stephenson submitted the following amendment:

"Section 9. And be it enacted, That said company shall
start and run their cars for transportation of passengers and
property at regular times, to be fixed by public notice, and
shall furnish sufficient accommodations for the transportation
of all such passengers and property as shall within a reason-
able time previous thereto be offered for transportation at the
place of starting, and at usual stopping places established for
receiving and discharging way passengers and freight for that
train; shall take, transport and discharge such passengers and
property at, from and to such places on the due payment of
the freight or fare legally authorized therefor, and shall be
liable to the party aggrieved, in action of damages, for any
neglect or refusal in the premises;"

Mr. Stephenson submitted the following amendment:

Amend section 9, by inserting after the word "Legisla-
ture," in line 11, the words "or County Commlssisners;"
Which was read and adopted.

Mr. Stephenson submitted the following amendment:

Amend section 10, by striking out the word "fifteen," in
line 3, and insert the word "ten," in lieu thereof;

Mr. Stephenson submitted the following amendment:

Amend section 16, by striking out the word "three," in
line 2, and insert the word "two," in lieu thereof;
Which was read and adopted.

Mr. Stirling submitted the following amendment:

Line 2, section 18, after the word "chartered," insert "or
to be chartered;"
