So much as relates to a building for State purposes in Bal-
timore city, to the Baltimore city Senators ;

So much as relates to the removal of the Police Commis-
sioners, to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings ;

So much as relates to the Maryland Penitentiary, to the
Select Committee on Benevolent Institutions ;

So much as relates to the city of Baltimore, to the Balti-
more City Senators ;

So much as relates to Immigration, to a Select Committee
of five ;

So much as relates to the Militia, to the Committee on_Mi-
litia;

So much as relates to Internal Improvements, to the Com-
mittee on Internal Improvements ;

So much as relates to the Naval Academy, to the Commit-
tee on Federal Relations ;

So much as relates to the Negro Population, to the Com-
mittee on Negro Population ;

So much as relates to Federal Relations, to the Committee
on Federal Relations ;

So much as relates to the calling of a Constitutional Con-
vention, to the Special Committee appointed on that subject;

So much as relates to Education, to the Committee on Edu-
cation ;

Leave of absence was granted to Mr. Frazier for two days.

Mr. Billingslea, from the Select Committee, reported a bill
entitled, an Act to authorize the County Commissioners of
Carroll county to levy a sufficient sum of money upon the
assessable property of said county to pay the costs in the case
of the State against Harriet and Marinda Porter ;

Which was read the first time; and
