THE SENATE. 31

Swords and Belts, to the Trustees of Charlotte Hall School,
for the use of the Pupils of said School.

Mr. Vickers, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably a bill entitled, an Act to change the name
of John Wesley Pitcock to John Wesley Baker;

Which was read the second time, and ordered to be en-
grossed for a third reading.

Mr. Mules, from the Committee on Corporations, reported
with amendments, the bill entitled an Act to incorporate
the Chester River Steam Boat Company ;

Which was road the second time, and the amendments
adopted, and

On motion of Mr. Waters,

The rules were suspended and the bill read the third time,
and passed by yeas and nays as follow :

of 1862, chapter 106, and sections 104 to 200, inclusive, of
the 30th Article of the Code of Public General Laws, relating
to the sentence of Negroes ;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Com-
mittee oa Judicial Proceedings.

Mr. Mules, from the Select Committee, submitted the follow-
ing report:

The committee to whom was referred the message of his
Excellency, the Governor, for distribution to the appropriate
committees, beg to report that the following references be
made:
