All further proceedings under the call were dispensed with.
Mr. Vickers submitted the following :

That the report be printed and that both the majority and
minority reports be made the order of the day for Friday
next at 1 o'clock, P. M.

Mr. Bowie submitted the following as an amendment:

"That the report of the majority of the committee be now
adopted."

Mr. Maddox moved a call of the Senate ;

The Sergeat-at-Arms was sent to inform the absent Sena-
tors that their attendance was required in the Senate Cham-
ber.

On motion by Mr. Bowie,
Further proceedings under the call were dispensed with.

The question recurring upon the adoption of the amend-
ment submitted by Mr. Bowie, it was

Determined in the affirmative.

The question then recurred upon the adoption of the report
of the majority of the committee, and it was
