Deposition No. 45.

WILLIAM HALL, being duly sworn, deposed and said as
follows, to wit:

By Mr. Devecmon:

1st Question. Were you Register in No. 15, just prior to
November 6, 1866 ?

Answer. I was.

2d Question. Do you know any one who was not registered
in District No. 15 prior to such election, whom the Judges
of the Election allowed to vote November 6, 1866 ?

Answer. I do. His name is William Fanty.

Deposition No. 46.

JONATHAN H. WILSON, being duly sworn deposed and said
as follows, to wit:

By Mr. Devecmon :

1st Question. Were Henry Hamil, A. C. Hamil, Henry O.
Hamil, Rezin Turner, Richard J. West, George H. O'Brien,
Patrick Hamil and Alexander Fairall legally registered by
you as voters prior to November 6, 1866; and were you the
legally appointed Register for District No. 1, Allegany
county, Maryland ?

Answer. The above named parties were legally registered
by me, and I was the legally appointed Register for District
No. 1. The election on that day, November 6, 1866, was
not held in the place usually used for such elections.

JONATHAN H. WILSON.

Deposition No. 47.

HENRY O. HAMMIL, being duly sworn, deposed and said as
follows, to wit:
By Mr. Devecmon :

1st Question. What is your name, age, residence and occu-
pation ?

Answer. My name is Henry O. Hammil, age 51, live in
District No. 1, Allegany county, Md., and am a carpenter by
trade.

2d Question. When did you register ?
Answer. In September, 1866, in District No. 1.

3rd Question. Did you attend the election held in District
No. 1. Allegany county, Md., November 6, 1866, did you
offer to vote, was your vote accepted or refused, and whose
