Answer. My name is Jacob P. Gower, aged 27, born and 2nd Question. When were you registered as a voter? Answer. I was registered this Fall, about the 11th of Sep 3rd Question. Did you or not attend the election held in Alle- Answer. I attended said election, in District, No. 10, I 4th Question. Were there any armed men about the polls? 5th Question. Did they offer any violence or threats to in- Answer. They did. 6th Question. Did they intimidate any persons from voting? Answer. Some did not come to the polls on that account, 7th Question. Did not the Judges of Election refuse to Answer. They did. Cross-examined by Mr. Brown. 1st Question. How many armed men were at the polls ? Answer. Not less than twenty. They were armed with 2nd Question. How many voters were intimidated from Answer. Some three or four, viz: Joseph Camp, was influ- 3rd Question. Were those men carrying their guns as if Answer.
