On motion of Mr. Vickers, it was
Ordered, That the State Librarian furnish the reporter of
the Associated Press of Baltimore, on the floor of the Senate,
with the same stationery supplied to the reporters in the House.
On motion of Mr. Trail, it was
Ordered, That the Committee on Education be instructed
to inquire what legislation is needed to enable the Boards of
School Commissioners to keep the Schools in each County
open longer than the six months per year required by Consti-
tutional provision.
On motion of Mr. Ohr, it was
Ordered, That a Special Committee of five be appointed, to
take into consideration the Article of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, title Small Pox, and report such additions as may
be requisite to make said Article more effective and beneficial
in its operation, and report by bill or otherwise ;
The Chair appointed Messrs. Ohr, Henkle, Mackall, Bil-
lingslea and Holton as said Committee.
On motion of Mr. Brodwater,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill entitled an Act, to confirm the pro-
ceedings of Commissioners appointed by Worcester County
Court, to divide the real estate of Wheatly Dennis, late of
Worcester, deceased.
On motion of Mr. Earle,
Leave was granted to Messrs. Earle, Vickers and Jump, to
report a bill to release the estate of Joseph L. Purvis, late of
Caroline county, from liabilities to the State, incurred by
suretyship on the bond of Alexander Knott, a former Sheriff
of Caroline county.
On motion of Mr. Maddox,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to report a bill to add section or sections, to Article 10,
of Public General Laws, entitled Attachments.
On motion of Mr. Trail,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to report a bill entitled an Act, to provide for changing the
names of persons by application to the several Circuit Courts
of this State, and of the Superior Court of Baltimore City.
On motion of Mr. Compton,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Militia, to re-
port a bill requiring the Adjutant General to furnish 60 Cadet
Muskets, or Enfield Rifles, with Acoutrements, 6 officer's
