Also, the petition of 58 citizens of Howard, Carrol], Fred-
erick and Montgomery counties, praying the appointment of
a Tobacco Inspector;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Execu-
tive Nominations.

Also, the petition of 200 hundred and twenty-two citizens
of Howard, Frederick, Carroll and Montgomery counties,
praying the appointment of a Tobacco Inspector;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Execu-
tive Nominations.

Mr. Vickers presented the petition of J. W. Bryant and
12 other citizens of Caroline county, against the repeal of the
law filing the terms of the Circuit Court;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

On motion by Mr. Davis, of Washington,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill granting the assent of the Legislature
to a bequest made in the last will and testament of Victor
Thomson, late of Washington county, deceased, to the trus-
tees of the Presbyterian church, of Hagerstown.

On motion by Mr. Bowie,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill entitled, an Act to make valid a deed
from Samuel Cox to John A. Cox.

On motion by Mr. Stirling,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Stirling, Vickers and Earle,
to introduce a bill to repeal section 2, of article 81, of the
Code of Public General Laws, and to re-enact the same with
amendmnets.

On motion by Mr. Mules,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to report a bill to repeal sections 26 and 28, of article
26, of the Code of Public General Laws, and re-enact the
same with amendments.

On motion by Mr. Mules,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to report a bill to authorize the President and Directors

of London Park Cemetery, to make assessment upon their
capital stock, and to enforce the payment of the same.

By unanimous consent, Mr. Compton presented the petition
