of citizens of Washington county, against the confirmation
of John Cook, as one of the magistrates for Washington
county;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Execu-
tive Nominations.

Mr. Vickers, by unanimous consent, presented the petition
of James S. Grinnell and other citizens of Kent county, for
a law to impose a tax on Kent county, to aid in constructing
the Kent county Railroad;

Which was read and referred to the committee on Ju-
dicial Proceedings.

Mr. Stirling, in pursuance of previous notice, moved a re-
consideration of the vote upon the adoption of the majority
report in relation to the Baltimore and Potomac Railroad;

Mr. Bowie moved to lay the motion of Mr. Stirling upon the
table,

On the question being put,

It was determined in the negative by yeas and nays as
follow:
