The Committee of Conference of the two Houses upon the
bill making appropriations for the support of the Govern-
ment for the year ending on the 1st day of January, 1869,
made the following report:
The Committee of Conferrence, to which was referred the
General Appropriation Bill for 1868, beg leave to report that
they recommend that the House agree to the first amend-
ment proposed by the Senate. In the second amendment
proposed by the Senate, insert in lieu thereof the following :
"To the Assistant Librarian, four hundred dollars in addi-
tion to the $600 now allowed out of the Contingent Fund for
the Library."
The committee recommend in lieu of the 6th amendment
proposed by the Senate on page 4, line 2, inserting the words
"for Contingent Fund for Lieutenant Governor and Speaker
ot the House of Delegate, to defray their expenses while
acting as member of the State Board of Education, $1,000
In lieu of the 7th amendment proposed by the Senate on page
