On motion of Mr. Carmichael,
The vote by which the bill entitled an Act to repeal sub-
section wo of section five, enacted as part of the fifth section
of the 37th article of the Code of Public General Laws re-
lating to the competency of witnesses by the Act of 1864,
chapter 109, and to enact another provision in lieu of said
sub-section two so repealed ;
Was rejected, was reconsidered, and the bill made the order
of the day for Thursday, March 21st, at 12 o'clock.
On motion of Mr. Clark,
The bill repealing certain sections of the Code : title "Bil-
liard tables,"
Was reconsidered, and the bill laid over informally.
On motion of Mr. Jones,
Ordered, That an authenticated copy of the Act entitled,
an Act to provide for taking the sense of the people of this
State on calling a Convention to frame a new Constitution
and form of government and for assembling the members
thereof, passed on the 20th, March, 1867, certified and signed
by the Speaker of the House and President of the Senate, be
forthwith transmitted by mail to the clerk of the Superior
Court of Baltimore city and to the clerks of the Circuit Courts
of the several counties.
The Senate bill entitled, an Act to authorize London Park
Cemetery to make and enforce calls or assessments upon its
capital stock ;
Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays as fol-
