The bill entitled an Act to empower the County Commis-
sioners of Howard county to levy a certain sum of money for
the benefit of the Public Schools in said county ;

Being upon a second reading,

Mr. Carmichael proposed the following amendment:

After the word "Howard" insert "and Queen Anne's
county,"

Which was adopted.

The bill as amended was read a second, and, by special
