Hon. Enoch B. Hutton, a delegate to this House from Mont-
gomery county, who died at the City Hotel of this city,
March 17th, at 5.30 o'clock P. M. As a testimonial of re-
spect for the memory of the deceased, and of our sorrow for
his death, and in sympathy for his bereaved and afflicted
family, we propose, with the concurrence of your honorable
body, that the two Houses of the General Assembly do now
adjourn till half-past 7 o'clock P. M., and that the mem-
bers of both Houses will wear the usual badge of mourning.
And we further propose the appointment of a joint committee
of both Houses consisting of four members on the part of this
House and two on the part of the Senate to attend the funeral
of the deceased.

We have appointed on the part of this House Messrs.
Burche, Hall, Morgan and Judge Carmichael.

Which was read, assented to and sent to the Senate.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following mes-
sage :

BY THE SENATE,

March 18th, 1867.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :

We have received the message of your honorable body an-
nouncing the death of Enoch B. Hutton, late a member of the
House of Delegates, from Montgomery county.

We deeply spympathize in the sad feelings which this
painful dispensation has excited in the bosom of colleagues
and associates, and cordially unite with your Hon. body in
the disposition to pay all proper and becoming respect to the
memory of the deceased in acknowledgment of his estimable
character, his many virtues and faithful public services. In
accordance with the action and suggestion of your honorable
body the Serrate will now adjourn.

We have appointed Messrs. Young and Spates on the part
of the Senate to attend the funeral obsequies of the deceased.

The House then adjourned until 7 1/2 o'clock P. M.
