On motion of Mr. Knott,

The bill entitled, an Act to appropriate the sum of four
thousand seven hundred and fifty dollars to purchase from
John Murphy, the publisher, two hundred and fifty copies of
the Code of Public General Laws and of the three volumes
of supplements thereto for the use of the State Library,
Was recommitted to the Committee on Ways and Means.
On motion of Mr. Coleman,

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 4 of Article 81 of
the Code of Public General Laws relating to Revenue and
Taxes, and to re-enact the same, with amendment,

Was recommitted to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Mr. Hall submitted the following resolutions :

Resolved, That' this House is deeply penetrated with a
sense of the great loss sustained by this Legislature and the
State at large in the death of the Hon. Enoch B. Button,
late a member of this body, from Montgomery county; that
the deceased had won for himself the respect and confidence
of this House, and thus we hereby tender to his afflicted fam-
ily the expression of our deepest sympathy.

Resolved, That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to
the family of the deceased by the Speaker of this House.
Which were read and adopted.
Also, the following message :

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES.

March 18th, 1867.
Gentlemen of the Senate:
