On motion of Mr. Carmichael,
Ordered, That the Committee on Claims make proper ar-
rangements to defray the expenses incident to the funeral
of the late Enoch B. Hutton, and that the members of this
House attend the funeral ceremonies to be performed at six
o'clock to-morrow morning, and accompany the remains to
the cars.
The House resumed the consideration of the unfinished
business of the morning session, being
The bill entitled, an Act to authorize the Board of Public
Works to vote the stock of the State in the Chesapeake and
Ohio Canal Company for a President and four Directors upon
the nomination of the holders of preferred bonds of said Com-
pany ;
Said bill being upon its second reading,
