The Secretary of the Senate delivered the bill entitled an
Act to repeal the first section of article 43 of the Code of
Public General Laws, title Habeas Corpus, and re-enact the
same with amendments,
Which was read a first time and referred to Committee on
Judiciary.
Also, a bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Southern
Maryland Railroad Company,
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Corporations. ;
Also, a bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 129 of the
Acts of 1864, entitled an Act to add additional sections tothe
44th article of the Code of Public General Laws, title
" Maryland Hospital," prescribing an oath to be taken by
the President, Vice President and Visitors of the said -Hospi-
tal, and to reinstate the former President, Vice President and
Visitors of the said Hospital in office,
Which was read a first time .and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.
