Mr. Knott, Chairman of the Committee on Internal Im-
provements, reported favorably, without amendment, the
Senate bill entitled, an Act to repeal the Act of 1860, chap-
ter 349, which incorporates the Baltimore and Little Gun-
powder Falls Turnpike company, and to incorporate in the
stead thereof the Baltimore and Jerusalem Turnpike Com-
pany.
Mr. Nicolai, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
reported unfavorably the Senate bill entitled, an Act to
amend the charter of the Philadelphia and Baltimore Central
Railroad Company.
Also, a bill entitled, an Act to add another section to the
26th Article of the Code of Public General Laws relating to
corporations, to come in as the 10th section of the said
Article,
Which were severally read a second time.
Also, favorably a bill entitled an Act to incorporate the
Hancock and Pennsylvania Railroad Comany.
Mr. Coleman, from the Committee on Ways and Means,
reported favorably a bill entitled an Act to authorize the
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to increase the issue of
water stock,
Which was read a first time.
On motion of Mr. Jones,
The House took up for consideration the bill entitled, an
Act to repeal section 87, relating to insurrectio n of Article
30 of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled "Crimes and
Punishments," and to amend and re-enact the same, and to
repeal sub-section five relating to persons conspiring or com-
bining to levy war against this State, of the Act passed at
January session of the General" Assembly in the year 1862,
chapter 235, being an amendment of .said Article 30, and to
re-enact the said sub-section, with amendments, pending
which,
On motion of Mr. Jones,
The said bill was made, the order of the day for to-morrow,
(Friday,) March 15th, at one o'clock.
The hour having arrived to which the order of the day was
postponed,
Mr. Calvert moved that the further consideration of the
bill be postponed, and that the second order of the day, being
the bill entitled, a supplement to the Act of 1853, chapter 194,
entitled an Act to incorporate the Baltimore and Potomac
Railroad Company, be taken up for consideration,
Which was not sustained,
The question then recurring upon the first order of the day,
