Said bill was then sent to the Senate.
On motion of Mr. Clarke,
Whereas, The Act of January session, 1864, requires the
Clerks of the two Houses of the General Assembly to furnish
certified copies of the laws passed at each session to the
Mayor of Baltimore city, the County Commissioners of each
county and the different newspapers of the State, and
Whereas, No compensation is provided in said act for the
arduous duty added to the already onerous labors of the chief
officers; therefor,
Ordered, That the Chairman of the Committee on Claims
be and he is hereby directed to issue his certificate in favor
of Wm. R. Cole for the sum of three hundred dollars ($300)
as compensation for said extra services.
On motion of Mr. Knott,
Ordered, That the Committee on Internal Improvements
have leave to sit during the session of the House.
Mr. Magruder from the Committee on Tobacco Warehouses,
reported favorably, without amendment, the Senate bill en-
titled an Act for the repayment out of the storage and out-
age on tobacco of monies heretofore demanded and received
by the Inspectors of Tobcaco in violation of the Act of
1864, chapter 346, and 1865, chapter 194,
