Mr. Jones, from the Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably the bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Balti-
more City Grain Elevator and Storage Company.
Mr. Nicolai, chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
reported favorably a bill entitled, aft Act to incorporate the
Annapolis Fruit and Oyster Packing Company.
Mr. Thomas, Chairman of the Committee on Ways and1
Means, reported favorably a bill entitled, an Act making ap-
propriations for the support of. the1 Government for the year-
ending on the first day of January, 1869;
Which were severally read a first time.
Mr. Neilson, chairman of the Committee on Immigration,
reported favorably, without amendment, the Senate bill en-
titled, an Act to encourage Immigration to the State of M!a-
ryland;
Which was read a second time.
Mr. Hammond, from the Committee on the Judiciary re-
ported favorably a bill entitled, an Act to repeal the 89th
section of article 16 of the Code of Public General Laws, en-
titled, "Chancery," and reflating to process against non-resi-
dent infants, as amended by the Act of 1884, chapter 89, and
to re-enact a substitute therefor.
Also, a bill entitled, an Act to amend the 37th article of
the Code of Public General Laws, by repealing the second
section of said article relating to the competency of witnesses
as amended'by the Act of 1864, chapter 109, and inserting in
said article in lieu of said section the following relating to
the competency of witnesses and the examination of parties.
Mr. Carmichael, chairman of the Committee on the Judi-
ciary, repotted favorably a bill entitled, an Act to repeal sec-
tion 3 of chapter 532, passed March 9, 1850, entitled, a fur-
ther supplement to the Act entitled, an Act to incorporate
the Baltimore and Susquehanna Railroad Company.
