Mr. Aydelott, from the Committee on Education, reported
favorably without amendment, the Senate bill entitled, an
Act to repeal section four of chapter three of the Act of 1865,
chapter 160, entitled, "School House Sites," and section one
of chapter one, entitled, "Sources of Income," of the Act of
1865, chapter 160, entitled, an Act to add a new article to
the Code of Public General Laws, to be entitled, "Public In-
struction," providing a uniform system of free Public Schools
for the State of Maryland, and to repeal all existing laws in-
consistent therewith, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments;
Which was read a second time, and,
On motion of Mr. Aydelott,
Three-fourths of all the members concurring,
Was ordered to a third reading.
.Pending whicbj Mr. Carmichael moved that the further
consideration of the bill be postponed informally, which was
not concurred in.
Mr. Ford moved to refer the bill to the Committee of
Ways and Means, which was not sustained.
