268 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 19,

Mr. Mules, from the Committee on Corporations, to which
was referred the bill entitled, an Act to incorporate and pro-
tect the Pocomoke Marine Railway Company;

Reported with the following amendment:

. Section 3, line 19, strike out all after the word "pay," and
insert the following:

"For all damage which may accrue to said railway, or any
part thereof, by reason of such failure or neglect;

The bill was then read the second time.

Mr. Mules, from the Committee on Corporations, to which
was referred the bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Mary-
land Fire, Life and Accident Insurance Company of Allegany
county;

Reported it with the following amendment:

Amend section 2, line 3, by striking out all after the word
"Company," to the word "prescribed;" in 4th line, and in-
sert "either in person or by power of attorney;"

The bill was then read a second time.

Mr. Mules, from the Committee on Corporations, to which
was referred the bill entitled, an Act incorporating the Prin-
cipio Manufacturing Company;

Reported it with the following amendment:

Amend by striking out "section 7," amend section 9, by
striking out all after the word "hereafter;"

The bill was then read the second time.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates returned the bill en-
titled, an Act to incorporate the Town of Ellicott's Mills, by
the name of Ellicott city;

Endorsed, "passed by yeas and nays."
And delivered the following bills:

A bill entitled, an Act to regulate and provide for the
marking of stock in the Fourth Election District in Anne
Arundel county;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee
on Agriculture.

A bill entitled, an Act to authorize the Governor to appoint
an additional Justice of the Peace for the Fourth Election
District in St. Mary's county;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.
