Mr. Jump, from the Committee on Printing, submitted

MINORITY REPORT :
The undersigned, from the Committee on Printing, to
whom was referred the motion to print ten thousand copies of
the Report of the Joint Committee appointed to present to
Gov. Swann the Resolutions of the two Houses upon his de-
clination of the office of Senator of the United States, re-
spectfully reports that in his judgment one thousand copies
would be amply sufficient for the purposes of this House.

ported favorably a bill entitled, an Act to appropriate a sum
of money to pay John W. Brashears, W. W. Quinn & Bro-
thers, David Fowler, B. F. M'Hurley, Lydia C. Ackworth,
D. W. Hawkins, J. N. Stewart, R. K. Wimbrough, and
William Camden ;
Which was read a first time.
Also, reported, a bill entitled, an Act to equalize the boun-
ties of the Maryland soldiers and sailors who enlisted and
were mustered into the United States service between the 19th
day of April, 1861, and the 26th day of May, 1863 ;
Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Ways and Means.
Mr. Thomas, Chairman of the Committee on Ways and
Means, reported favorably, without amendment, the Senate
bill entitled, an Act to secure the completion of the Colum-
bia and Port Depoeit Railroad, and to waive the lien of the
State;
Which was read a second time.
Also, reported favorably a bill entitled, an Act to refund a
gum of money paid into the State Treasury erroneously by
by John V, Lowe, of Talbot county, one of the collectors of
taxes for said county :
Also, unfavorably upon the bill entitled, an Act to repeal
section 86 of Article 56, of the Code of Public General Laws
and to re-enact the same with amendment;
