The Speaker laid before the House the following report of
the Comptroller in response to an order of the House.

Speaker of the House of Delegates:
Sat-
in reply to an order passed by the House to-day, I have
the honor to report that the nett receipts from the State
wharves in Baltimore city, from November, 1852, to Novem-
ber, 1866, were not embraced in my statement of 20th ult.,
submitted to your honorable body.

The nett profits From this source, up to November, 1852,
appear to bare been "applied to the redemption of the loan
authorized by chapter 360 of 1835-6, which, together with
the premium realized upon said loan, appear to have been
ample for that purpose.

This General Assembly, in authorizing subsequent loana
for the erection of tobacco warehouses, does not appear to
have directed the application of the receipts from the State
wharves to the redemption of said loans—hence they were
not embraced in said statement.

The nett receipts from the State wharves from November,
1852, to November, 1866, were $37,757.86.
