Mr. Gorsuch, (the rules being suspended,) presented me-
morial of 22 citizens of Buckeystown, in reference to the
competency of the teachers of the Public Schools in said vil-
lage and vicinity.

Which was read and referred to Committee on Education.

Ordered, that Mr. Hall and Mr. Hutton have leave of ab-
sence until Monday to attend to private business.

Leave was granted to the Select Committee to introduce a
bill to be entitled an Act to repeal section twenty-four of
Article forty-one of the Code of Public General Laws, en-
titled, Fish and Fisheries, sub-title, Rivers in Talbot, Dor-
chester, and Caroline counties, and to amend and re-enact the
same.

On motion of Mr. Coleman,

The House adjourned until to-morrow morning at 11 o'clock.
