Mr. Gorsuch presented a petition of 250 citizens of Fred-
erick county, asking for authority to construct a turnpike
from the Frederick and Woodsboro turnpike, to and through
the village of Mount Pleasant in said county;

Which was read and referred to the Frederick County
delegation.

Mr. Davis, of Baltimore city, moved a suspension of the
rules to take up,

The bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 6, of article 35 of
the Code of Public General Laws, relating to the attendance
of Judges of Elections and section 9 of said Article, prescrib-
ing the oath of Judges of Elections, and section 12 of said
article, prescribing notice of elections to be given by the
Sheriff's of the several counties and to enact a substitute for
each of said sections;

Which was not sustained.

The Speaker laid before the House the following report of
the Superintendent of Public Schools:

Which was referred to the Committee on Printing.

On motion of Mr. Golibart

Ordered, That the Clerk of the County Commissioners for
Cecil county, report to this House the amount of bounty
money received and expended by him, stating the names of
the persons to whom the same was paid and the amount paid
to each person, and also, whether any and if any, how much
commission was charged for the collection or disbursement of
said bounty money.

On motion of Mr. McCulloh,

Ordered, That the Committee on Claims pay to William
A. Brydon and William Devecmon, the usual per diem from
the commencement of this session.
