Mr. Carmichael, Chairman of the Committee on the Judi-
ciary, reported back the memorial of Hamilton Easter & Co.,
Wm, Devries & Co., Samuel Bevans & Co., and 40 others,
against the repeal of the law in relation to Funerals ;

Also, the memorial of Joshua Royston, John T. Foard
Samuel J. Parkhurst, Jr., and seventy others, against the
repeal of the law in relation to Funerals ;

Also, the memorial of Joshua Vansant, George H. Reese,
James E. Hooper and others, against the repeal of the law
in relation to Funerals ;

Also, the memorial of Clabaugh & Harris, George Brook,
C. H. Woodside and 120 others, against the repeal of the
law in relation to Funerals ;

Also, the petition of W. H. Hoffman, Wm. Brown &
Son, W. A. Moale and 40 others, opposed to the repeal of
the Funeral Law;

Also, the petition of J. Howard McHenry and others, pray-
ing for a reduction of tolls on the Reistertown road ;

Also, the petition of S. F. McComas, A. Walker, George
Reinhart and 43 others, opposed to the repeal of the Funeral
Law;

And asked to be discharged from the further consideration
of the same.

The report was concurred in and the Committee discharged.

Mr. Carmichael, Chairman of the Committee on the Jndi-
ciary, reported favorably a bill entitled, an Act supplemen-
tary to an Act passed February 6,1866, chapter 144, entitled,
an Act to repeal the 1st section of the Act of 1865, chapter
87, and to amend and re-enact sections 55, 59 and' 60, of the
2nd Article of the Code of Public Local Laws of Anne Arnn-
del county, relating to the sale of spirituous liquors to mi-
nors in the city of Annapolis, and within five miles thereof,
and to add a sub-section to section 55 ;

Also, a bill entitled, an Act passed at the present session
of the General Assembly, adding 2 additional sections, 206
and 207, to the 30th Article of the Code of Public General
Laws relating to crimes and punishments ;

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to repeal section 3 of Article
8i> of the Code of Public General Laws entitled, "Seamen ;"

Also, a bill entitled, an Act to add additional sections to
the 4th Article of Public Local Laws, relating to the draw-
ing of jurors in the city of Baltimore ;

Which were severally read a first time.

Also, reported favorably without amendment the Senate
bill entitled, an Act to add additional sections to Article 81
