Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

Also, a petition of 15 citizens of Jackson District, Freder-
ick county, praying a law may be passed to allow an addi-
tional magistrate for that district;

Which was read and referred to the Frederick county dele-
gation.

Mr. Lankford presented a petition of 26 citizens of Mary-
land, remonstrating against the repeal of the Funeral Law ;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the Ju-
diciary.

Mr. Lindsey presented the petition of Ignatius Rutledge
and eighty-four others in favor of the Harford and Cecil
county boom,

Which was referred to the Committee on Corporations.

Also, presented the petition of John S. Vanneman and Son,
and one hundred and ninety tax payers of Port Deposit, in
Cecil county, in favor of the Harford and Cecil County Boom
Company,

Which was referred to the Committee on Corporations.

Also, presented the petition of Robert McGaw and twelve
others in favor of the Harford and Cecil county boom,

Which was referred to the Committee on Corporations.

Also, presented the petition of A. J. Street and one hun-
dred and ninety-five others in favor of the Harford and Cecil
county boom,

Which was referred to the Committee on Corporations.

Mr. Whitaker presented the memorial of Edward Mclntire
and thirty other citizens of Frederick county asking the re-
peal of the proviso to section 4 of Article 81, Code of Public
General Laws, and to exempt Literary and Charitable insti-
tutions from taxation.

Also, presented the petion of R. R. Vandavier, J. Thomp-
son Freeze and one hundred and forty-five citizens of Havre
de-Grace,. Maryland, in favor of the Harford and Cecil countie
Boom Company,

Also/presented the memorial of Jacob Gladden and 159
others in favor of the Harford and Cecil counties boom.

Also, presented the petition of Wm. McAdy and one hun-
dred and ninety-one others in favor of the Harford and Cecil
counties boom,

Also, presented the petition of Wm. Lee Amos and forty-
seven others in favor of the Harford and Cecil counties boom.

Which were severally read and referred to Special Com-
mittee.
