The House adjourned until 11 o'clock to-morrow morning.

WEDNESDAY, March 6th, 1867.

The House met and was. opened with prayer by the Rev
Mr. Burke.

Present at the call of the roll the following members :

Buhrman, Baker, Linthicum, Gorsuoh,Steiner, Bamford,
Appleman, Hoffhine, Bishop, Hutton, Burche, Turner, Cole-
man, Neilson, Smith, Flaherty, Robson, Hooper, Israel,
Knott, Lankford, Stevens, Kraft, Boswell, Thompson, Davis,
of Ballimore city, Waltemeyer, Feig, Bixler, Pitts, Ayde-
lott, Gordy, Nelson, Whiteford, Wilson, Spicer, McCulley,
Bruce McCulloh, Devecmon, Brydon, Carmichael, Neale, Ben-

Mr, Neilson presented a petition to the General Assembly
of Maryland, by Chas. Spilker & Co., Wheelwright, Mudge
& Co., and others, remonstrating against the repeal of the
funeral law;

Which was read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

Mr. Cameron presented the memorial of Joseph Walker
and others, asking for a pension to Clement Standiford, a sol-
dier of the war of 1812.

Which was mad and referred to the Committee on Pensions.

Mr. Gorsuca presented a remonstrance of forty-six citizens
of the village of Urbana, against the passage of a law,
prohibiting the sale of spirituous liquors in said village;

Which wa's read and referred to the Committee on the
Judiciary.

Mr. Clarke presented a petition of 51 citizens of Maryland,
remonstrating against the repeal of the Funeral Law;
